Hi all. Been curious about beekeeping for some time, don't currently have any bees or any equipment. Have recently been reading a bunch of online information that has pushed my curiousity to the next level and I would like to see a hive up close to see how much work it really is. And since I know very little, I would also ask for website links to get some more information/direction. I am already read/ing from:
http://www.bushfarms.com/bees.htm - head is still trying to absorb it all
http://www.beesource.com/ - found their plans and some other info
http://bees.library.cornell.edu/b/bees/index.html -not much reading from here yet.
I also have a list of books that I will be attempting to get from the Local Library:
How to do it book of beekeeping - Richard Taylor
Beekeeping for dummies -
I can't find the rest of my list at the moment- oops!
If I take the next step and get some bees, I plan on building my hives from scratch.
Oh well, I guess my little intro has come to an end. Thanks in advance for any info or help you provide.
Steve
